Georgian House & Mews Rooms

Take your pick

22 well-appointed rooms
Take your pick from 22 well-appointed rooms, including single, twin, double, triple and family
rooms (two adults and one child), and a romantic four-poster room – perfect for a special
occasion!

Eight of these are in the purpose-built Mews annex to the rear of the main building,
characterised by a minimalist, contemporary design with comfort as a priority. Each room
features modern, walnut-veneered furniture, fixtures and fittings and – most importantly –
luxurious beds and bathrooms, with deep-pile carpets and natural travertine tiles.

Despite our proximity to the city centre, we’ve ensured you’ll have a serene stay in every
room at Georgian House. All rooms and windows are sound proofed, and blackout curtains
mean you’ll be able to snooze undisturbed by daylight.

"sympathetically refurbished to provide a mixture of modern accommodation for the discerning visitor."

The main building
The Grade II listed Georgian three-storey house began life as a farmhouse back in 1640,
making it the oldest domestic property in Bootham. In the 1800s, a Georgian façade gave it
a fashionable facelift, and more recently it has been sympathetically refurbished to provide a mixture of modern accommodation for the discerning visitor.
Choose from quirky attic rooms featuring unique original architecture, including original
beamed ceilings, or more spacious options, depending on your needs.

The dining room and bar are also located in the main building.

"a tranquil haven in the midst of the city’s hustle and bustle."

The Mews
The Mews is a tastefully designed newbuild in the style of a characterful barn and stable
conversion, in homage to the original farmhouse that occupied the site. Situated in a secluded position behind the main building, we have managed to create a tranquil haven in the midst of the city’s hustle and bustle.
With private access, guests need look no further in their quest for peace and privacy.
